Welcome to the memorial page for

Peter L Voltz

May 1, 1947 ~ July 13, 2017 (age 70)

The Piano Brothers

Peter L. Voltz of Pasadena passed away in Florida on July 13.  He was born May 1, 1947 to parents Etta Hamlin Voltz and Dr. Charles Voltz in Buffalo, NY.   He was cherished by his wife Patricia.  Adored by son Matthew, daughters Amy Taylor (Frank) and Andrea Arnold (Anthony), three grandchildren Ben, Jennie and Ruby, great grandson Benjamin and niece Jessica. And he was preceded in death by his beloved cat Rocky.
Peter was strongly influenced by his Jesuit education at Canisius High School and Fordham University.  He served 20 years active duty in the US Army and lived overseas for much of that time in both Germany and Thailand.  He continued his work another 25 years as a civilian with US Army Counter Intelligence.  He was a gifted mentor, a brave and true patriot and an American hero.
Peter loved life.  He was an astute reader of people, a sun lover, a karaoke king and a master of the one liner.  He loved the Baltimore Orioles and the Buffalo Bills.  His kindness, mischievousness and intelligent wit defined him.  His laugh was contagious. He loved his family fiercely.  He will be missed every second of everyday. Peter was a good man, but not a great hula dancer.
A mass and military tribute will be held on Saturday July 22 at 10am at Our Lady of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD and followed by a brunch at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton, MD at noon.
In lieu of flowers the family would kindly appreciate a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Wounded Warrior project.
