ANNA MAY TUCKER

Mom and Grandmom, Anna May Tucker, age 82, peacefully left us on December 2 at 6:15pm with her loving children by her side.

She joins her only son, Robert, and husband John, in Heaven.  She is also preceded in death by her parents, Edward Colhouer and Esther Cohen.

A lifelong Maryland resident, Anna and John were blessed with four children whom they raised in the greater Baltimore region.  Anna is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Dan) Orem of Pasadena, MD; Patti (Bradley) Grant of Harford County, MD, and Tina (Glenn) Aga of Laguna Niguel, CA, and her four grandchildren: Daniel Orem IV, Shawn Orem, Alexandra Aga and Lucas Aga.

She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Green, Edna Jakubowski, William Colhouer, and Esther Cohen.

Our Mother’s final wish is to have a Celebration of Life focused on happiness.  She asked that in her memory we wear pastel colors and make bubbles!  For this reason, we have decided to honor her with a Celebration of Life during her birthday month of March.  We will have additional information to share soon.

Mom will always be remembered for her complete devotion to her children.  She sacrificed all things to give the best life to her children; she was always there for all of us. In her last days she said the best part of her full life was her children.  This is her legacy.  We stayed by her side around the clock until her final breath, now content knowing she is at Peace.

She was in hospice for 6 days – the same amount of time it took God to create world.  She passed on the Eve of Advent.  We find Peace knowing she is with God, her husband and son, and parents.  She loved living independently.  She had a little place where she found friends and happiness.  We talked to our mother every day.  She loved shopping and going out to eat.  And, she especially loved talking to everyone she met. She was the friendliest person.  She loved her word search puzzle books, baking, cooking, dancing, and gardening.  At our last dinner outing at a favorite crab house, she danced to the band… her walker didn’t slow her down or stop her.

We have such wonderful memories of Mom, thank you for being such a wonderful, loving, caregiving Mom!

Anna’s surviving family would like to thank the staff and Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD, for the kind, patient, and compassionate care that they provided for a beloved mother and grandmother.

A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
