Arthur Collins

Arthur Roy Collins, 76, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at home. Art was born in Nyack, New York and was the son of the late Lee and Lillian Collins. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard of Maryland. Art loved baseball; he played during his youth and in work softball leagues for many years. He was an avid baseball fan, especially the Baltimore Orioles. Every Father’s Day, he would attend a baseball game with his son. Art was also a movie extra in the movie Major League II.

Art attended at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton, Maryland for 30 year and this is where is met his wife, Sharon. He later transferred to Community United Methodist Church in Pasadena, Maryland, and he volunteered at the church pantry and would help in other areas as needed. Art absolutely loved serving God in any possible way.

Art is survived by his loving wife Sharon, whom he married on October 3, 1987. He is also survived by his son Jason Collins (Christie), and his brother Lee Collins as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place in Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:30 am

A Memorial Service will be held on April 3, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Community United Methodist Church 8680 Ft. Smallwood Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122.
