Beverly Hammerbacker, 85, of Sistersville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025.

Beverly spent much of her career with Westinghouse before later working as a dedicated school bus driver for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She found joy in the simple pleasures—spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and keeping her mind sharp with games and crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Pedicord and Eugene Martin, and her beloved husband, Charles Hammerbacker.

Beverly is survived by her children, Donnie Akins, Martin Mattern, Rebecca Evans (Rob) Bartley Connors (Christine); her cherished grandchildren, Donnie Akins Jr., Christopher Akins, Samantha Mattern, Keith Hartley, Johnathan Hartley, Christopher Evans, Andrew Connors, Jacob Connors, Garrett Evans, and Cory Evans; and her adored great-grandchildren, Kayla, Blake, Colton, Caden, Carson, and Avrie.

Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on through the generations she leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, September 11, 2205, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Graveside services will be held on at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery 1122 Sunrise Beach Road Crownsville on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:30 am.
