Pasadena

Bruce Albin Dishman, 84, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 29, 2026. He was a beloved father, brother, husband, grandfather, and friend.

Bruce was deeply loved by his late wife, Delores, who preceded him in death by just a year and a half. Their love story began when they met at the young age of twelve, and they went on to share a lifetime together, celebrating 59 years of marriage. He also had a special love for his beloved dog, Chalky, who was a cherished companion.

He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Kellie and her husband Jason of West River and Denise and her husband Andy of Pasadena. He took great pride in their lives. He also adored his four grandchildren, Kala, Lauren, Drew, and Alexandra, who brought him immense joy. His family was an important part of his life, and he took pride in watching it grow.

Bruce was an engineer with Westinghouse and had his broker license in real estate, which he enjoyed doing on the side.

When Bruce was younger, he enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball and valued the friendships and camaraderie that came with the game. His team was inducted into the Slow Pitch Hall of Fame in Baltimore. He also had a knack for always telling the best stories and was quick with a joke.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, dedication to his family, and his sense of humor. Bruce will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation of family and friends will be held at the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. in Pasadena on Friday, May 15th, from 3–5 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A Mass will take place the following day, Saturday, May 16th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Curtis Bay.
