Bruce E. Turner, Jr., 79, of Fort Myers, FL and Pasadena, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023, where he was surrounded by family.
Bruce was born on November 16, 1943, to Bruce E. Turner Sr. & Margaret L. Turner. Shortly after graduating from City College in Baltimore, he met the love of his life Barbara L. Klatt in 1966, and they were married in 1968.
While living in the Glen Burnie area, Bruce and Barbara had two daughters, Kelly and Kathleen. They made the move to Pasadena where he continued to work incredibly hard for his 3 girls to have the best life possible. He gained a son in law, Steven Stoll, and both the Stoll and Turner families became one, bonding over their backyard, sports, and love for being around the water on the Magothy River.
Bruce was a manager for Central Atlantic Toyota where he shined in being a leader, a voice for the voiceless, and dedicated employee. After retiring in 2007, he worked many small gigs to stay busy. The year he retired; his accountant was shocked to find out that he filed seven W2s. He was always on the move and never sat still, but ultimately the one job he chose was to be a Pop-Pop to his seven grandchildren. He went to so many of their sporting events. He loved baseball the most and was so knowledgeable of the game. He was a big Baltimore sports fan- Go O’s & Ravens! He was known to be wandering along the sideline in his Ravens straw hat, taking in every moment of the game, from every angle.
In 2015, as an extension to his retirement, he and Barbara moved from Pasadena, Maryland to Fort Myers, Florida. Despite the distance, he never missed a holiday or important events like graduations, celebrations, and family gatherings.
Bruce always said that he loved giving more than receiving. As a true testament to this, he left behind a drafted but unsent letter addressed to Barbara entitled “How Much I Love You.”
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Bruce E. Turner Sr. & Margaret L. Turner, and his brother, Kenneth Turner. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, their two daughters, Kelly Stoll and Kathleen Turner; their son in law Steven Stoll and Jason Pellegrini; and their grandchildren, Meghan Turner, Zachary Stoll, Kylie Stoll, Hayden Stoll, Nicolas Pellegrini, Tyler Pellegrini, and Liliana Pellegrini.
