Catherine L. Pasdach

August 19, 1942 – May 26, 2026

Known and loved by all that knew her as “Cass”, Catherine L. Pasdach traveled a life well lived. Born and raised in South Baltimore, Cass always returned home no matter where life took her. She spent virtually all her adult life working for the Department of Defense as a civil servant and then civilian contractor. Cass began her career as a key punch operator but quickly rose through the ranks as a logistics specialist through hard work and a commitment to excellence. When retiring in the early 1990s, Cass had received too many honors to count and reached the rank of GS-16, which is rarely achieved by civilians. As dedicated as she was to her career, her real gift was what she gave to her family. She committed her entire life to her two sons Dave and Jeff and was always there for her extended family as well as anyone else who needed her. Although Cass always knew Baltimore as home, she never passed up the opportunity to see the world, traveling to places including Japan, Germany, Austria, Mexico, Jamaica, Ireland, Italy, and her favorite Hawaii. Cass never met a beach she didn’t like and never passed up the opportunity to put her toes in the sand or spend the day sitting at a tiki bar or lounging by the resort pool. In addition to being a big Disney fan, Cass was a diehard Ravens fan and was one of the first to get season tickets when the team came to Baltimore. Cass is survived by her two sons David and Jeffrey Scrivener, brother Ronald Norfolk, sisters Sharon McComas, Linda Watkins, and Debbie Reese, grandchildren Lauren Caplan, Ali Younker, and Chloe Kerrigan and five great grandchildren. Cass is preceded in death by her mother Helen Earnest, husband Gerald Pasdach and former husband Joseph Scrivener.
