Charles “Charlie” Schultz beloved husband of the late Sandra L. (nee: Clark); devoted father of Christopher J. Schultz, Sr. (Margie), Robin L. Schultz and Crystal Schorr (Mike). Dear brother of Marie E. Harvilicz (Charles) of Hampton, Va; brother-in-law of Bonita J. Cox (Fritz). Loving grandfather of Christopher J. Schultz, Jr. (Amanda), Robin Lynn Schultz, David A. Schultz (Gwen), Tyler Ferrare, Alexander Schorr, Clinton Sloat, Kayla Sias and Josh Pfister; loving Great Grandfather of Connor J. Schultz and Zinnia L. Schultz; dear uncle of Pamela Millsap (Karl) of Stuarts Draft, Va, Jennifer Cox McNomee, Sarah Stevens (Randy) of Hampton, Va.
Charlie was born in South Baltimore on 10 October 1940 to Charles J. Schultz, Sr. and Marie E. Schultz and died at his Riviera Beach home on 29 November 2025. Charlie joined the US Army Reserves prior to marrying Sandy in September 1961 and served until 1967. Upon leaving the Army Reserves he joined the Maryland National Guard until 1975. In 1967 he joined the Baltimore City Fire Department and retired in 1980. He then started a second career as an auto mechanics instructor at the Patuxent Institution and later at the Maryland Correctional Institution at Jessup where he retired in 2003. Charlie was a life-long car enthusiast building engines for himself as well as family and friends over the years. His greatest pleasure was spending time in his garage with his son, grandsons and friends. An avid gun collector he enjoyed target shooting with his grandsons in West Virginia. Charlie spent many summers fishing on the Chesapeake with his family and friends. He and Sandy also spent time traveling with both sisters and brothers in law over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, December 4, 2025, 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
