Chuck E. Gosnell, Sr.

Charles Edward “Chuck” Gosnell, Sr., 76, of Orchard Beach, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Chuck was a loving, caring, and devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Charles “Chuckie” Gosnell, Jr., John “Johnny” Gosnell, Kathalena (Gosnell) Goldsborough (Jonathan), and Amanda (Joel Donmoyer) Meade, and his beloved grandchildren, Elijah & Isaiah Donmoyer, Delaney & Madison Gosnell, Jamie Leitzel, and Alexandria “Alex” Gosnell. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra Born (the late Jim), Donna Bibeau (Wayne), Peggy Fields (the late Paul), and Ronald Gosnell (the late Alice); his sister-in-law, Joyce Gosnell (the late James, II “Jim”); and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” and Betty Gosnell, and his former wife, Bethel “Sandy” Gosnell.

Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era, attaining the rank of Corporal. His commitment to service also extended to his hometown, where he volunteered with the Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Department alongside his father, Jim. Following his time in the service, Chuck became a mechanic, a career he continued until his retirement.

Family meant everything to Chuck. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling his many nieces and nephews with candy every Christmas. He loved Halloween, especially in his community of Seven Valley’s, PA. Each year he could be found sitting on his porch in his Halloween mask, handing out candy to the neighborhood children. These were the simple things that brought Chuck joy and became treasured traditions for those who loved him.

A viewing honoring Chuck’s life will be held at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, September 24, 2026, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm. 

Following the service, Chuck will be laid to rest with military honors at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Maryland, in recognition of his service to our country as a United States Marine.
