Daniel L. Cecil, beloved husband of 41 years to Fern S. Cecil, dear brother of William T. Cecil and the late Walter "Waltie" Harry Cecil, Jr and Timothy Erin Cecil. Also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.
Dan was born in Olney, Maryland on September 15, 1957, to his parents Walter and Rose Cecil, and passed away on July 15, 2024, in Harbor Hospital.
Dan grew up in Ferndale and attended Andover High School graduating in 1976, and then attending RETS Technical School graduating in 1991.
During his High School years Dan was a lot boy at Bob's Auto Sales in Glen Burnie. He enjoyed vacationing at the Cherrystone campsite in Virginia and loved going to Ocean City, MD. He enjoyed spending time on his aunt's dairy farm in Damascus, MD and loved to play baseball with the Linthicum Ferndale Little League from 1967 to 1971 where his father served as President and coached for many years.
Dan loved boating and being on the water, woodworking and tinkering in his workshop. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Dan enjoyed playing racquetball and watching the Ravens and Orioles. As a couple Dan and Fern traveled to the Caribbean, Hawaii, California or to visit family in Indiana or Massachusetts, and was his happiest being with family and friends
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at which time a Memorial service will held. Interment Providence Cemetery in Kemptown, Maryland at a later date.
