David Leisure

David William Leisure, loving husband for 46 years of wife Mary Leisure (nee Tucker) passed away on October 29, 2022. David was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 24, 1955, to his parents, the late Charles Leisure and Ada Leisure nee Clark. Brother of, the late Charles Leisure (Joan), and the late Thomas Leisure (Bonnie). He was also predeceased by his stepmother Elizabeth Leisure nee Adcock.  David is survived by 3 stepsisters. Dorothy Freyer, Linda Phillips and Lillian Eversole, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews. He also greatly loved Jessica Hall, Robin Stevenson and Bob Atkinson Jr.

David was a long-time member of Brooklyn Community United Methodist church (formerly know as Brooklyn Heights UMC). David was true thespian, acting in various plays, musicals, and dinner theatre. His favorite roles were Bob Cratchit from “A Christmas Carol”, Lamar in “Godspell”’ and Nicely-Nicely Johnson in “Guys and Dolls. He loved to draw and paint as well.  David and his wife, Mary were avid travelers two of his favorite places being Colorado and Hawaii. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church, 110 Townsend Ave Baltimore MD 21225, Monday November 7 for a Celebration of Life. There will be a gathering at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM. We ask that family and friends join us and stay for a Repast, that will be held following the service.

Arrangements were made by the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church, The Huntington Disease Society of America at 505 Eighth Avenue / Suite 902 New York, NY 10018, and the Adopt an Owl program at Downs Park at 8311 John Downs Loop, Pasadena, Maryland 21122.
