David Joel Simmons

David Joel Simmons, a skilled carpenter known for his craftsmanship and dedication, passed away on May 30, 2024, in Pasadena, Maryland. Born on April 24,1956, in Kentucky. His exceptional talent and attention to detail left a mark every project he undertook.

David's legacy will be remembered not only through his but also through the memories he created with his ones. He was a father and grandfather who found joy in simple pleasures like camping, spending time at the beach, his native American heritage, kayaking, and most of all, being with his family.

On June 5, 2024, friends and family will gather at the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home in Pasadena to pay their respects during the viewing from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

David is survived by his daughter Tabitha Katzenberger, son-in-law Billy Katzenberger, granddaughter Brooke, grandsons Bubba and Jayden, sister Dianne Gray, brother Gary Simmons and brother Mickey Hellinger. He is predeceased by his mother Marian Simmons, father Joseph Simmons and sister Dawn Simmons.

David's warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished and loved beyond measure.
