In Loving Memory of Debra ( SUNSHINE ) Luckeroth

Today we gather not only to mourn Debbie’s passing, but to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

A life is not measured by the number of years we are given, but by the love we share, the kindness we show, and the lives we touch. Debbie’s life was a blessing to so many. Her love, laughter, and caring heart leave behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Debbie was the beloved daughter of Joseph Markowski and Ruthie DeVaux. She was also blessed by the love of her stepmother, Betty Markowski, and her stepfather, Ed Lane. Her father, mother, and stepfather all preceded her in death in 2011.

She shared a special bond with her siblings: Barbara Graham and her husband, Daniel; Carol Harrison; Tammy Rosenthal; Valerie Miller and her husband, Carl; and her sister, Terry Rosenthal, who also preceded her in death.

Debbie was blessed to share her life with her loving husband and Best Friend, Darrin “Woody” Luckeroth.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Danny Androsky and his wife, Tiffany. She was especially proud of her beloved granddaughters, Coralie and Aubrey, who were truly the light of her life. Nothing brought Debbie more joy than spending time with her family, especially her precious granddaughters. Debbie is also survived by daughter Megan Koppe’s family and son Michael.

Debbie loved the beach, Caribbean vacations, and shopping—especially for shoes and purses. She had a witty sense of humor, a fun-loving spirit, and a sassy personality that could make anyone smile.

While our hearts ache because we will miss her, we find comfort knowing that for those who belong to Christ, this is not goodbye—it is simply “until we meet again.” We rejoice in the promise that she is now free from pain, surrounded by perfect peace, and in the presence of her Savior.

As we remember Debbie today, may we honor her by loving one another a little deeper, showing kindness a little more freely, and living with the same grace she shared with others.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Debbie, your race is finished, your faith has become sight, and your memory will forever remain in our hearts. Your life mattered, your love made a difference, and you will never be forgotten.
