Edward William Blanchard Jr., passed away on September 20, 2019. Beloved husband of Catherine Marlene Blanchard, devoted father of Sharon, Edward (III), and Michael, loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren, Brittney, Amber, Kielee, Abby, Grayson, Zachary, Drew, Hadyn, and Dakota. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Blanchard and sister, Mary Curley. Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 3 years. He enjoyed raising animals (Shetland sheepdogs, Holland Lop rabbits & Canaries), traveling, the beach, spending time with his friends & family. He will be dearly missed by all.
A long time Pasadena resident, Edward worked and retired from the A&P Tea Company (Supermarket). He continued his career as a Federal worker for the DOD. Upon his final retirement, he and his wife moved to Ocean City, MD- where they enjoyed the boardwalk and beach and they traveled around the world. They became pillars of their Bay Vista I and Holy Savior church community.
A future memorial is planned Holy Savior Church in Ocean City, MD.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church 8325 Ventnor Road PASADENA on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to Coastal Hospice and Palliative Care.
