Elena V Hernandez

Elena V. Hernandez, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Born in Taal, Batangas on August 18, 1928, to Gaudencio and Maria Concepcion Vergara, she will be remembered for her kindness, simplicity, generosity and being soft spoken. A person with a big heart ❤️. She was a devout Catholic, a member of the St. Anthony of Padua group, and a devotee of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Nelly dedicated and totally devoted her life to her family, a mother of nine children, always there with a listening ear and a warm embrace. She was a passionate housewife and took great joy in cooking and taking care of the family’s needs. Nelly is survived by her 8 children Fe, Nel, Cecille, Lynne, Jun, Josie, Donna and Rodgie; 6 sons-/daughters-in-law Meg, Manny, Prescy, Marcos, Gene and Belly; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto Loo Hernandez. 

Viewing will be on June 11, 2025, from 3pm to 8pm at McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Athanasius Catholic Church 4708 Prudence Street Baltimore on June 12, 2025, at 11 am. Cremation will follow after the memorial service.
