Ella Louise Franklin

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, Ella Louise Franklin gained her wings peacefully in the comfort of her home at the age of 84. Louise was born on February 3, 1937, to the late Joseph and Laura Walker of Fairfax, Va.

Louise attended Montgomery County Public Schools and shortly after married William Frank Savage Sr. She later married James Edward Nathaniel Franklin Sr., they resided in Landover, MD. Mom was blessed with 10 children: 7 boys and 3 girls. She survives by 6 children, Mary Underwood (Damon) of Harrisburg, PA, Kenneth Savage (Peggy) of West Muffin, PA, Laurie Evans (Robert) of Pasadena, MD, James Franklin, Jr., (Leatrice) of Deltona, Florida, Sandy Chambliss (Juan) of Pasadena, MD and Richard Franklin (Charone) of Suitland, MD. She was preceded by four sons, William Frank Savage, Jr., Howard Lee Savage, David Allen Savage and Edward Scott Savage. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, daughter in laws, Leneve Savage, (Howard), Brenda Savage (Kenny) and she proceeded in death one grandson, Robby Evans.

She began her career with Prince George’s Public Schools in August 1979 and retired after 31 years. Mom enjoyed bowling in her younger days, playing poker around the clock, cruising and spending time with her family. For some of us, we like to say mom’s favorite were her boys, which was true, but there’s nothing mom wouldn’t do for any of us, we were her life, she enjoyed being a mom, her grandchildren and our family gathering. She loved to be on the run and only needed minimum sleep. Parents are our leaders and now she’s gone, it’s just us, let’s all make her proud of “us” the way she made us proud to call her our mom!

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday 11:00am to 12:30 at which time funeral services will be held. Cremation services to follow.
