Emma Lucretia (nee Eaton) Augente passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022. She was 98.
Emma was a resident of Brooklyn Park for over 50 years prior to moving to Pasadena to live with her daughter. She was most recently a resident of The Peartree House Assisted Living Facility.
She retired from the State of Maryland, Department of Social Services in 1985. She was an active member of the Glen Burnie Lions Club for many years and was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award an honor that is awarded for those who provided service above and beyond the normal Lion commitment.
She enjoyed traveling, bingo, the Baltimore Orioles, ice cream cake and her beloved PEEPS.
She was born in Baltimore to the late Charles Edgar Eaton and the late Addie Lillian (nee Sentz) Eaton. Lovingly called "Sis" she was predeceased by her siblings: Bertha Elizabeth (Eaton) Murphy, Margaret Irene Eaton, Cora Palmer (Eaton) Bowers, Elsie Loretta (Eaton) Myers and Clarence Herbert Eaton.
She was the wife of the late Richard Augente, Sr.
Emma is the beloved mother of C. Diane Duffy (the late Brian), Thomas Emerson (Eve), Connie Schmid (Steve), Betty Keogh O'Reilly (Bill), the late Esther Lucas and the late Duane Emerson, stepmother of the late Richard Augente, Jr.
Grandmother of Charles Sardelis (Michele), Steven Huddy (Tina), Kelly Emerson (Jon), Ginger Finch (Melvin "Jay"), Jeremy Emerson (Kate), Jill Atcheson (Jay), Adam Schmid (Emma) and Eric Schmid.
Great grandmother of Trenton Huddy, Chandler Bowen, Jade Finch, Peyton, Samantha, Lucy and Lily Emerson and Emilee and Grayce Atcheson.
Great-great grandmother of Aaliyah, Asher and Allison Johnson.
Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Wednesday January 12, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Where a funeral service will begin at 3 PM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Emma's memory be made to your local Lions Club International Chapter, the Hospice of the Chesapeake 90 Ritchie Highway Pasadena, Maryland 21122 or charity of your choice.
