Gary Lee Watts, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father. Gary L. Watts, Sr. age 88, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
He was born in on May 18th, 1935, to Russell and Dorothy Watts and was a life-long resident of South Baltimore. He graduated from Southern High School in 1953 and went on to work at the engineering firms of Whitman Requardt & Associates, Evans, Hagen and Holdefer Inc.,
later retiring from KCI Technologies, Inc. He was a 30+ year member of the Curtis Bay Athletic Club (Pasadena) where he served as ticket chairman for many events over the years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed singing bass in a barbershop quartet, bowling and spending as much time as he could fishing from the shore or from the open water. In his later years, he enjoyed playing in many pitch card leagues, watching westerns and game shows. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as, traveling to Mexico, Pennsylvania, and the yearly trips to the beaches of Wildwood, New Jersey and Ocean City, Maryland. Many wonderful memories were created over the years with the travel they embraced and the strong friendships they made along the way.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Mary June, his daughter Karen Anthony (Walt), son Gary (Jeanne), granddaughter, Lauren Watts, great grandson Camden,
and sister Judy Rawlinson (Ed) along with multiple nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris Doenges (Fred) and brothers David Watts (Betty) and Wayne Watts (Liz). 

Family and friends are invited to the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. on Friday February 9, 2024, from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024, at 10 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
