George Andrew Kirby

January 27, 1947 - February 14, 2022

Our family is mourning the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and U. S. Navy Veteran on February 14, 2022.

He proudly served on the USS Forrestal in the Vietnam War. He worked for the DOD for well over 50 years and only stopped for this prolonged illness that led to his death. He was a devoted husband and loved his family fiercely.

George is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Bonnie Kirby; sister Mrs. Joyce Malkinski, 2 sons Stephen Etzler and his fiancée Rita Wang, Kevin Kirby and his wife Maureen Kirby, his daughter Michele Langford and her husband Brian Langford; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Etzler and his wife Veronica Etzler, Brandon Kirby, Emily Kirby, Kayla Etzler, Zachary Langford, Jacob Langford and Kexin Wang; and 1 great granddaughter Lea Etzler.

He is preceded in death by his father George S. Kirby and his mother Gladys J. Kirby and several cousins in the last several years.

He will be missed terribly

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial service will be held in the Severna Park Baptist Church 506 Benefield Road Severna Park, MD 21146 on Thursday February 17, 2022 at 3:30 pm. The family would love to see you.
