Geraldine Spinnenweber

September 21, 1931 — February 4, 2018

Gerry Spinnenweber, 86, a longtime resident of Pasadena, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 surrounded by members of her family. She was born September 21, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Ray and Irene Welsh. After graduating from Youngstown State University she met the love of her life Harry Spinnenweber, and they married on March 14, 1958. They moved to Maryland where Gerry continued her education, earning her Master's Degree and pursued her passion for teaching young children for over 20 years at Oakwood Elementary School. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and devoted member of Galilee Lutheran Church. Gerry's passion for teaching children continued as she directed Vacation Bible School for many years. After retiring from the Anne Arundel County School System, she and Harry loved to travel, enjoying countless cruises and vacations throughout the United States and Europe. Gerry is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Harry, her three sons, John Spinnenweber (Anne) of Pasadena, Karl Spinnenweber (Lisa) of Centreville, VA and Bob Spinnenweber (Stacey) of Woodbine, GA, 10 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Gerry's life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Galilee Lutheran Church on Mountain Road in Pasadena at 11:00 AM.
