Harold Oliver Johns, “Pete”, a proud veteran of the army, passed away early morning of June 25 peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. He was a family man who always went above and beyond for his children and grandchildren.

Born in Baltimore, MD on April 7, 1936, he was the son of Anna Kane and Holt Johns. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Johns, and his son Mark Johns. He was the youngest of 5 siblings who preceded him in death: James, Robert, Gloria, Hazel and Billy.

Pete will be remembered as a wonderful father and even better grandfather. Pete served our country, with Elvis Presley, with the United States Army. After his duty he worked for the Naval academy as a sheet metal worker. He was a loved member of the Bahama Beach community. He spent his time supporting his Maryland Terps, Baltimore Orioles and Colts. He also took great pride in all his animals. Feeding and taking care of all kinds of animals. He was all around a memorable man.

He is survived by his daughters Laurie Myers and her husband Scott Myers, Sherry Weygant and husband Keith Weygant and Joanne Gallimore and her husband Gerald Gallimore. He also has 7 grandchildren who he adored: Danielle, John, Melissa, Erica, Jeffrey, Ashley and Seth. He also has 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join in viewing services at MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, 3204 Mountain RD, Pasadena. Services will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 12 on Thursday.
