James Holland, Jr.

June 1, 1936 — July 31, 2018

Pastor James Ward Holland Jr. passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born June 1, 1936 in Crisfield, Maryland. He attended Crisfield High School and earned his Bachelor and Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He served as a pastor for five churches in the Baltimore area, as well as numerous consultant and teaching positions for the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware and Baptist Associations. In addition he helped spread the word of Christ through numerous international
mission trips. He served Christ for 54 years of ministry. James Ward Holland Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, June, younger brother,
Tom, numerous nieces and nephews, and through every life he has touched. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pastor Holland’s name may be made to Building Families for Children, Center Pointe Counseling, and Native American Link Ministries.

Family and friends are invited to the Faith Baptist Church 7378 E. Furnace Branch Road Glen Burnie, Maryland 21060 on Friday August 3, 2018 for visitation from 930 AM-11 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be held on Monday August 6, 2018 at 12 Noon at Fort Lincoln Cemetery 3401 Bladensburg Road Brentwood, Maryland 20722.
