Janice Richter

Janice Barbara Richter was the daughter of Rev. Howard Ritterpusch and Helen Ritterpusch (Bornscheuer). She graduated from the University of Maryland earning a Bachelor’s Degree. Janice was married to Kenneth Richter who passed away in 1987. She worked 43 years at Spring Grove Hospital serving many roles mainly as an Art Therapist. Her tireless efforts throughout her career made deep impacts across hundreds if not thousands of lives.

Janice supported and dedicated her life to helping others especially her son and later her grandchildren. Janice enjoyed attending any sporting event or function to cheer them on. She never waivered in loyalty, devotion or strength when it came to her family. Later in life, she loved to spend time and talk with her grandchildren. Janice was always there to guide, listen or chat with both grandchildren. She also loved her dear cat ‘Prince’.

Janice is survived by her son Keir Richter and daughter-in-law Kimberly Richter (Gerber). Also, she is survived by her grandchildren Aidan Richter and Aubrey Richter and brother David Ritterpusch.

Mrs. Richter will lie-in-state Christ Lutheran Church 701 S. Charles Street Baltimore, Maryland 21230 on Tuesday February 15, 2022, from 10 - 10:30 AM. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery 7725 Eastern Avenue Baltimore, Maryland 21224.
