Jennifer R. Brown

It is with deep sorrow and so much love that we announce the tragic passing of our beautiful angel, Jennifer Rose (Hannas) Brown of Pasadena, MD. Jennifer left this earth way too soon after 47 short years, however she lived those years to the fullest. She passed peacefully surrounded by her dear family on the morning of March 29, 2026.

Jennifer was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 2, 1978, to parents, Rosemary Merson and Richard Hannas. She was a lifelong resident of Pasadena and enjoyed Cheer and Swim Team in her younger years. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1996. After high school Jen entered the workforce. She held a few jobs in the Finance and Title fields.

Jennifer married her love, Jaime, on June 12, 2004. She was the most gorgeous bride, and their special day was fit for a princess; it was everything she ever dreamed of. Jennifer loved children and always wanted to be a mom, so Colby was born the following year. From then on, her badge of honor, was "mom", which was her greatest blessing and joy. Jen & Jaime had four more wonderful children. Juliana came along in 2007 and then Corey was next in 2009. Sadly in 2011, Christian became their angel baby, which left a hole in her heart her whole life thereafter. However, sweet Jaxsen was their rainbow baby in 2012 and he completed their family. Everyone knew Jen as the mama bear. She loved her children fiercely and devoted all of her time to them. She traveled all over the country with her boys for wrestling, she couldn't miss a thing. She was the loudest mom in the gym or stands. At every event, you knew it if Jen Brown was there. And she LOVED it. Jen was also a friend to everyone she met. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she encountered (there was no shortage of talking) and she had a charisma that people were drawn to.

In addition to her love of family, Jen loved the beach and had a special fondness for Assateague Island. She loved the sand in her toes, hunting for shells, watching the waves crash, and catching an occasional glimpse of a dolphin. When she wasn't at the beach, she loved being home with her dogs and her plants. Her yard was transformed into a beautiful tropical paradise each summer with a gorgeous array of flowers everywhere you looked.

Jen also had a fiery spirit. You never had to guess what she was thinking because if it was in her brain, it came out of her mouth. That tenacity proved to be important over the last 3 years as she quietly battled cancer. She went through so much with surgeries, radiation, chemo, pills, infusions, and scans. Through it all, she was so strong and she fought so hard to stay here with her children, but God had other plans for her. Our only solace is that she is no longer in pain and is not suffering.

Our Angel, Jen, is now in heaven reunited with Christian, her grandparents William and Hella Steinebrunner and Richard Hannas, her mother-in-law Rose Zeuch, and other loved ones that preceded her in death. In addition to Jaime, Colby, Jules, Corey and Jax, and her parents, Richard and Rose and her husband Steve, her entire family is absolutely heartbroken by the loss of our sweet, Jen. She is also survived by her brother Ricky Hannas and his wife Jeannie, brother-in-law Rob Brown and his wife Carin, sister-in-law Dawn Bopp and her husband Tom, and grandparents Shelva and Al Jones. She adored her nieces and nephews who are all going to miss their Aunt Jenny so very much; Courtney Bosserman (husband Nolan), Alexis Bopp, Tyler Brown (fiancé Katie), Landon Brown, Ryan Hannas, and Lily Hannas. There are also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who are mourning her passing.

Please keep the family in your prayers as they navigate this devastating loss. If you would like to pay your respects visitation is being held at McCully, Polniak & Collins Funeral Home, P. A. at 3204 Mountain Road in Pasadena on Thursday, April 2nd from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse Church at 6691 Baymeadow Dr #200 Glen Burnie on Friday, April 3rd at 10am.
