Jimmie Labrador

Jimmie “Jim” Labrador passed away in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 72, at his home in Pasadena, MD.

Jim was known as a gentle giant that would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His genuine kindness, friendship and devotion will be forever cherished by his beloved daughter, Jennifer (Labrador) Thompson, son-in-law Neil Thompson, granddaughter Alyssa Wilton (Brandon), younger brother Juan Labrador (Stacy), younger sister Bonnie (Labrador) Martin, nephew Brian Martin (Lisa), nieces Jamie (Martin) Curley (Matt), Raven Labrador-Troutman (Marshall), Ashlie Labrador, great-nephews Cooper and Garrett, and great-nieces Braelynn and Adeline.

Jim had a long, successful career at Giant Food, advancing through many roles during his 41-year tenure. Jim loved food, especially eating out and you could often find him at his favorite restaurant Outback Steakhouse (stopping by for a nibble even when he was on vacation in Hawaii). He enjoyed boating and camping, and treasured good times and memories created at his family retreat in Fenwick Island, DE- his “get away” for over 40 years. He was a longtime Orioles fan and a Baltimore football guy through and through. Jim was a chatty, gregarious friend and family man, always ready to bend an ear and share a story.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Sunday, July 7, 2024, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Where funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
