On Friday, March 25th, 2022, our beloved John Robert “Johnny Bob” Kemmerer of Pasadena, Maryland passed away at the age of 77. John was born on May 10, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dolores “Dolly” Kemmerer (nee Monti). He was the devoted father of Michael Kemmerer (Brigid), Christina Kasten (Lance), and Jennifer Franklin (Scott) and grandfather “Pop-Pop” to Brittany Wagner, Jonathan, Nicholas, Samuel and Zachary Kemmerer, Samantha, Jenna and Alexa Kasten, and Allie and Olivia Franklin. He is also survived by his sister Vickey Pruitt (Steve) and Jean Johnson (Dennis).
John was a dedicated sailor, serving 20 years in the Navy from 1962 – 1982. After retiring from the Navy as a Chief Fire Control Technician, he worked for 26 years for the US Coast Guard as an Ordnance Mechanic Foreman. He was a member of the Annapolis Fleet Reserve (Branch #24), American Legion (Post #297) and VFW (Post #2462). As an avid military man who loved his country dearly, John was equally dedicated to his family! He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, watching basketball, hanging out in the pool, playing with his grandchildren, and sitting quietly on his back deck overlooking the water.
