John Polyniak

Polyniak-- On Saturday, August 25, 2018  John Richard of Pasadena, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 42 years, his "forever friend" Valerie, along with their children, Scott and Julie by his side. John was blessed to have a wonderful sister-in-law Robin "Bobby" (Pajak) and her husband Michael Arlauskas with whom he shared a special love of music and prayer.  His nephew John Mike and niece Mary Violet Arlauskas, with whom he had a special bond, loved their Uncle "John-John" very much.   John is the son of the late Cleo (nee Wetzel) and John Polyniak and  son-in-law of the late Violet and Tony Pajak. John is also survived by Val's Aunt Doris Katherine McCully who he always jokingly called "Katie."  Brother of David Polyniak and uncle to Bill and Ritchie Polyniak, John's godson. His very close brother and sister in Christ "Uncle" George and "Aunt" Sharon Smith, whom he loved dearly, have been such an inspiration in his life. John has been fortunate throughout his life to have made many special friends, established longtime relationships with colleagues and has been a caring, positive influence to so many.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday 12:00 to 2:00 and 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held in the Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church 8325 Ventnor Ave PASADENA on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment private.

In Lieu of flowers, if so desired, the family has requested contributions to Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church 8325 Ventnor Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 or Galilee Lutheran Church 4652 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 in memory of John.
