Josephine Frances Brady (nee Brocato), age 91, of Linthicum, MD, passed away on November 28, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. surrounded by family and friends at her home.
Josie was born on July 28, 1930 to Vincent Brocato and Mary Brocato (nee Ross) in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating high school in June of 1949 from Clara Barton Business School, she worked at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and then went on to have a successful career at NSA.
In 1950, she met Medford E. Brady, and they wed on October 14th, 1951, going on to have one daughter, Beverly Ann Meister (nee Brady).
After retiring in 1990, Josie spent her time taking care of her great grandchildren, and enjoying time with her friends at her Women's Club Events. She was a dedicated member of the Bou-Temp-Sci, Daughters of the Nile, Clownettes, Jesterettes and Boumi Ladies. Josie also helped countless children through her work with The Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Medford E. Brady. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Anne Meister (nee Brady), son-in-law Robert Allen Meister, her two granddaughters Erin Shannon Brady (nee Meister), grandson in law Charles F. Brady of Pasadena, Nicole Tara Shaner (nee Meister), grandson in law Jason Allen Shaner of Pasadena and her four great-grandchildren Zackary Lee Brady, Andrew Allen Brady, Madison Ann Shaner and Emma Jane Shaner.
