CALDWELL SR., KENNETH DANIEL- Kenneth Daniel Caldwell Sr, 85, passed away on October 7, 2018, following a prolonged battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 10 years Mildred Rose Caldwell.  He is preceded in death by his brothers and sister Charles Caldwell, Richard (Dick) Caldwell, Diane Caldwell and is survived by siblings Ida Mae Kirby (Arthur Kirby), Eileen Bailey-Robinson (John Robinson), Jeanette Laney (Tony Laney) and Larry Caldwell (Cathy Caldwell).

He is also survived by his children Kenneth Caldwell, Jr. (Susan Tate); Denise Lancaster; Rebecca Caldwell; Stephanie Caldwell and Destiny Rhoden (Jim Rhoden).  He is also, survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his godson’s Brandon Howser and Cameron Eckenrode.

Beginning at the age of 17, Kenneth served as a member of the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Bennington during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. He went on the build a successful career at Bethlehem Steele-Sparrows Point Division in the Hot Strip Mill Electrical Department and later the Supply Window, retiring after 44 years of distinguished service with the company. Kenneth was a longtime member of Joppa Gospel Tabernacle in Parkville, MD and later a member at Grace Bible Baptist in Catonsville, MD.

Kenneth was a devout, Christian, loving, husband, father and friend.  He was quick to lend a hand to others. Kenneth distributed food and Bibles to those in need and volunteered endlessly to help anyone in need of his expertise with electrical wiring.  He remained the same charming, gentle, soft-hearted, loving, Christian man until his last moments. He will be so greatly missed by the many who had the privileged to have known him.


Friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME P.A., 237 E. Patapsco Ave., (Brooklyn) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held Friday 11AM, at the Funeral Home. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation would be appreciated.
