Kenneth “Ken” Raymond Webster July 20, 1945 – July 2, 2026.

Some people spend a lifetime serving others. Kenneth “Ken” Raymond Webster was one of them. Ken passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 80. He was a Marine, a police officer, a husband, a father, a PopPop, a brother, and a friend—but above all, he was someone who loved his family with his whole heart. Born in Baltimore to George and Shirley Webster, Ken never lost his love for the city that shaped him. Whether he was cheering for the Orioles or Ravens, sharing stories from years gone by, or searching for the best cream of crab soup in Maryland, he carried Baltimore with him wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Shirley Webster; his brother, George Webster; and his sister, Sherry Brewer. For 46 years, Ken shared his life with his beloved wife, Patricia. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. He is survived by Patricia; his brothers, Keith Webster and Brian Webster; his sister, Robin Webster; and his seven children: Carlton Raither (Joe Witomski), Dawn Piekarski (Jeffrey), Annie Hodgson, Thom Stranger (Michelle), Kelley Duly (Jimmy), Jennifer Kautz (Ryan), and Amber Kinney (Caleb). His greatest joy came from watching that family grow. As PopPop to 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, he never missed an opportunity to laugh, tell a story, offer advice, or remind each of them how much they were loved. His family knew they could always count on him, and that quiet certainty is one of the greatest gifts he leaves behind. Ken proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966 before continuing a life of service as a police officer. Duty, loyalty, and integrity weren’t just values he believed in—they were values he lived. Those who knew Ken will remember his sense of humor, his stories that somehow got better with each telling, his love of bluegrass and country music, and his ability to make people smile. He made friends easily, loved deeply, and lived with a generous spirit. While his family grieves his loss, they also celebrate a life that was full of purpose, laughter, and love. His influence lives on in the children he raised, the grandchildren who adored him, and the many lives made better simply because he was part of them. His daughters found comfort in these words from Kenny Rogers’ Through the Years, which beautifully capture what their father meant to them: “You’ve never let me down. You’ve turned my life around. The sweetest days I’ve found, I’ve found with you.”
