Ken Wilson, a resident of Pasadena, MD died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Severna Park, MD.  Ken was born September 5, 1929 in Long Island, NY.  He enlisted in the Navy in 1946 at the age of 17.  He rose the rank of Chief Petty Officer with a specialty in cryptology.  He married his wife Evelyn in May of 1953.  Together they relocated numerous times during his 20 year naval career.  After retiring from the Navy, Ken worked for the Department of Commerce.

Throughout his life, home and family were his priorities.  He was active with his children’s sports teams and the local community.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, football and home improvements.  After retiring from the Department of Commerce, he and Evelyn travelled throughout the United States in their camper with their dog Max.  While he loved sightseeing and meeting people from around the country, he always looked forward to coming home and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is surveyed by his two daughters; Susan Roth of Pasadena, MD, Debra Schmidth of Chestertown, MD, and son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Donna Wilson of Pasadena, MD;  four grandchildren; Jennifer Richardson of Pasadena, MD, April Schlein of Florida, Mark Schmidth of Tennessee and Lisa Joudry of Pasadena, MD and eight great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Friday September 29, 2023 from 4-6 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 12 Noon at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
