Lawrence Wilbert Stephens Jr. (aged 57) passed away at home in the early morning on Thursday May 28th, 2026. Larry was born to Margaret and Lawrence Stephens on May 1st, 1969 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and worked in medical laboratories throughout the state of Maryland - eventually becoming the director of the Maryland Primary Care Physicians Central Laboratory. He enjoyed playing softball, watching the Steelers, and most of all spending time with his family. He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Larry will be remembered for many things. He was dedicated and determined. He was playful, told great stories, and could always make you laugh. He had a contagious smile that could light up a room. He will be remembered most of all as a selfless and loving husband and father. He was a source of quiet compassion, and he will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Larry is survived by his wife Tiffany, his son Nathan, his daughter Rachel, and his siblings David, Michael, and Ruthanne.
A viewing will be held at McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road in Pasadena, Maryland on Friday June 5th from 10am-12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow. Larry will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Cemetery in Pasadena, Maryland. A wake will be held at Pasta & Vino in Pasadena, Maryland following the burial.
