Louis Phillip Albrecht

March 13, 1969 — November 5, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Louis Phillip Albrecht, who left this world on November 5, 2023.  Known to friends and family as Phil, he was born on March 13, 1969, in Kenitra, Morocco to his parents Louis and Sarah Albrecht. Phil graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1987 and excelled in his post-secondary training to be an electrician.

Phil met and married the love of his life, Denise, in 1990 and they wed on June 18,1994. He began his career as an electrician at Bausaum & Duckett and when he became a father, he opened his own business to allow him more time with his son. Phil was a devoted father to Phillip and enjoyed every moment of fatherhood from walking him to school to coaching his sports teams to taking him to his first concert. Their bond was a testament to the depth of Phil's love and commitment.

A passionate outdoorsman, Phil found solace and happiness in nature's simplicity. His love for fishing, hunting, and camping was boundless, and he delighted in sharing these activities with both family and friends. One of his cherished traditions was the annual camping trips organized for Phillip's classmates and their fathers, creating enduring memories for all. Phil's spirit shone brightly during one final camping adventure in August, bringing joy to everyone around him.

Phil was an active member of the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Parish in Pasadena, MD, where his warm heart and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on the community. He possessed a remarkable generosity of spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Phil's integrity, patience, and never-ending kindness left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Phil was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sarah (and he was her favorite). He is survived by his father, Louis Phillip Albrecht, his loving wife Denise, their son Phillip, his sisters: Mary Migues-Jordan (Vicki), Gretchen Frazer (Mike), and Mandy Calvert (Michael); his nieces and nephews: Andrew (Katie), Marshall, Brian, Chris (Lauren), Kelly, Susan, Hannah, Samantha; and his great-niece, Molly, along with a large extended family and a multitude of friends who were blessed to know him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will continue to inspire us all.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Phil Albrecht Memorial Scholarship fund. The scholarship will benefit a graduate of either Glen Burnie or Northeast High School who is attending trade school or college. Tax deductible donations can be made at Phil Albrecht Memorial Scholarship Fund

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Jane Frances at 10:00 a.m. on November 18, 2023. A Celebration of Life will follow. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the remarkable man he was.

Rest in peace, dear Phil. Your spirit will live on in our hearts, and your legacy will forever be a guiding light for us all.

The family invites all who attend the Mass and the Celebration of Life to wear your favorite Ravens gear or your favorite band T-Shirt – BONUS points if it is an 80’s Hair Band
