Louise Margaret Hicks

Louise Margaret Hicks, beloved wife of the late Woodrow Wilson Hicks, Jr., passed away at the age of 79, on July 26, 2025, surrounded by her children, Sean & Melissa. Louise was born February 3, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Eugene “Utz” Twardowicz and the late Dorothy Twardowicz, sister of the late Ella Mae Hulse, and the late Eugene Peter Twardowicz. 

Louise loved spending time with her family and friends. Cooking and hosting holidays in the early years, no one celebrated Christmas like Louise did. Later in life, she and Woody retired to Selbyville, DE, where their house become ground zero for parties. She was always the life of the party and never missed one. Though, her biggest joy was spending time with her grandsons. Ranging in age from 33 to 6 months, she loved, doted on, and spoiled them all rotten. Each one feeling like the center of her universe. Louise is survived by her two children: Sean Hurdel and wife Ashley, and Melissa Carll and husband Mike; and seven grandsons: Ryan Hurdel, Josh Hurdel, Connor Carll, Drew Carll, Brennan Carll, Richard Hurdel, and Jameson Hurdel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated MCCULLY, POLYNIAK, & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at which time a Memorial service will be held.

Immediately following the Memorial service, there will be a celebration of life at the American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Rd., Severna Park, MD 21146.
