Michael Julio Marra, resident of St. Petersburg, FL and previously of Southern Maryland, died on August 10, 2022 at his residence in St. Pete after a long illness.
Michael was born in Washington, DC to Julio and Elizabeth (Procopio) Marra on October 19, 1963.
Michael spent the first half of his life in Southern Maryland, growing up in Camp Springs and Upper Marlboro, and moving as an adult to Calvert County, MD where he spent his leisure hours on his boats on the Patuxent River. He later decided that Sunny Florida was where he wanted to be and spent the rest of his life on the Gulf Coast.
Michael was an entrepreneur, and during his early adult years started his business, Capitol Architectural Refinishers, which he grew to be a major force in its industry and an extremely successful business, until his retirement in his early forties.
Michael is best remembered for his quick smile and love of all things related to his beach themed life. He was predeceased by his beloved Mom, Betty Marra. He is survived by his father, Julio Marra, his brother Al Marra and wife Laura, his nephew Al Marra and fiancé Sierra, his godmother and favorite Aunt Linda Marshall, his cousin and friend Mark Marra, and many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Michael between 10 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 27th at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. at 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD. Funeral service to follow at 11:00. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Michael's memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation at the link below. A celebration of life meal will be held at Maggianos Restaurant in the Annapolis Mall from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Everyone is invited.
