Michelle Jackson December 31, 1985 – September 16, 2026

Michelle Jackson, 40, passed away peacefully in her home September 16, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her. Michelle was silly, fun-loving, and always had a way of making people laugh. Whether it was one of her funny faces, a perfectly timed joke, or simply being her snarky self, she could bring laughter to those around her. Her amazing smile and infectious personality will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her son, David, was her world. Being his mom was one of the greatest joys of her life; she was so proud watching him walk the stage at his high school graduation. The love she had for him was evident to everyone who knew her. Michelle spent many years working as a bartender, where she was adored by her customers. She had a way of making people feel like old friends, and her warmth, humor, and unforgettable smile made her someone people looked forward to seeing. Michelle was athletic and competitive from a young age. She was a competitive gymnast throughout elementary and high school and was also a member of her high school cross-country team. That love of competition stayed with her throughout her life. She later found that same passion in playing pool, where she was so proud to be part of a pool league. Her team recently qualified for nationals, another wonderful accomplishment she was proud of.

Michelle loved her family, her friends, all dogs especially Chippy who was waiting for her at Rainbow Bridge, the Baltimore Orioles, and was she a die-hard Redskins fan. She found joy in the little things, making people laugh wherever she went, and left behind countless memories that will be cherished forever. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Keith Jackson; her sister, Patti Jackson; her grandparents, Charlie and Betty Jackson; her grandfather, John Connolley; and her grandfather, Bill Donoho. Michelle is survived by her beloved son, David Calligan; her maternal grandmother, Patricia Donoho; her mother, Brenda Jackson; her sister, Jessica Benton, and her partner, Phill Hook; her niece, Kaylee Benton; her nephew, Brandon Benton; and her loving partner, Kevin Gornic II. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and countless others whose lives she touched along the way.

A private service for immediate family will be held, with a Celebration of Life planned for November.

Michelle may no longer be here to make us laugh, make ridiculous faces, or brighten a room with her incredible smile, but the laughter, love, and memories she gave us will remain forever.
