Misty A. Pelley, age 48, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 22, 1975, the daughter of Darlene (Coleman) Crowe and her companion George Board.
Misty is survived by her husband, Craig Pelley, whom she married in 1999. She leaves behind her son Chase Pelley and his companion Jackie Dietz, her daughter Ryah Pelley and her companion Troy Kidwell Jr., and grand-dog Juno, all of Pasadena, Maryland. Her grandmother, Maxine Coleman, of East Liverpool, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio also mourn her passing.
Misty was a graduate of Beaver Local High School, Class of 1993. Her compassionate and dedicated nature shone brightly in her role as a Food Service Specialist for Chesapeake High School. Her commitment and service to the students were honored by the county board of education in 2022, a testament to her unwavering dedication.
A selfless soul, Misty never placed herself before others. Her life was marked by her unwavering support as a devoted Army wife for more than 20 years. Beyond this, some of her greatest joys were found in serving as a surrogate grandmother for her twin sister and in doting on her beloved ferrets. Her passion for baking cakes brought smiles and sweetness to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Kristy Davis, her grandparents William "Ernie" and Mildred Crowe, and Jack Coleman.
Misty's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, care, and a boundless generosity that touched the lives of many. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Misty's life will be held at McCully Polyniak and Collins Funeral Home, P. A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on December 11, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
