Nanette Koppelman

August 18, 1946 — January 24, 2022

Pasadena

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Nanette L. Koppelman (Nee Barth), our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother on 24 January 2022.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Pasadena, Maryland. She married William Koppelman Sr., the love of her life, on 4 September 1964 and had 49 wonderful years together. She dedicated her life to raising her children/grandchildren and she enjoyed working part-time at Johnny’s restaurant in Pasadena. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, Survivor, spending time with her family and drinking Pepsi (with a straw!).

She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends, but especially her four children: Lyne Dicus and her husband Ricky, Barbara Ramos and her husband Rolando, Janice Kelso, and William Koppelman, Jr.; two stepsons: Wayne Koppelman and his wife Kathy, and Mark Koppelman and his wife Diane; two sisters: Ruth Knapp and Franny Lippy; one brother: Timothy Barth; 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. And we cannot forget to mention Lucy, her loveable lapdog.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Thomas Koppelman, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Wolfe; mother, Ruth Barth; father, Julius Barth Sr.; and brother Julius Barth, Jr.

My mother was a loving mom and the best grandmother to my children Brandy, Glenda, Tiffany, Samantha, Rachel, Noah and Mariana and a special great-grandmother to Kataleena, Isaiah, Landen, Payton, Mason, Liliana, Mercedes, Karleigh, Braxton, Emma, Sebastian, Meylijane, Liam, Luca, Krystellee, Kameran and Kollin. She also had the honor of meeting her great-great-grandson, Daemen. She will be missed by everyone. She was loved by all. Everyone is heart-broken that you had to leave us so soon. We will see you again one day and will have the best and biggest family reunion. Until then…… Love Barbara

Mom, we will miss you more than you will ever know. We know you are not here physically, but you are always here in our hearts. We will always remember the good times that we had together. Now, you and dad can be together again forever in each other’s arms. We all love you. Janice, Mike, Richard, Branden, Brooke and Addison.

Gram/Graham Cracker – Thank you for all you did for both myself and my family. Jeremy, Meylijane, Liam and Luca will surely miss you just as much as I am now. Fly high, love hard, and watch over us all and keep sipping your Pepsi. Love Tiffany – The Slack/Williams family.

Gram – You may have passed on, but your memories will always live on within each if us. I love you Gram – you and pop will be together forever now. I know he probably has a warm blanket, a can of Pepsi (with a straw) and a big hug waiting for you. Thank you for being such a wonderful woman, showing me how to be an amazing grandmother. Thank you for loving me and always being there and never giving up on me. You will always be thought about, missed and loved. In my heart is where you will be. Until I see you again. I Love you. Love Always, Brandy, Robert, Krystellee, Kollin, Kameran and Daemen.

My grandmother was a great person to me and my three children – Kataleena, Isaiah and Landen. She was such a caring person, and we all miss her and love her. Love Samantha, kids and Lucy.

Mom/Gram had an impact on her family and friends. We find comfort knowing she is no longer in physical pain and reunited with dad/Pop, as well as those family members and friends she has missed and met her when she entered through those pearly white gates. Please continue to watch over and guide us as we learn to navigate life without your physical presence.
