Nicholas “Nick” Duryea July 20, 1952 – September 6, 2025

Nicholas “Nick” Duryea, 73, of Parkville, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Born on July 20, 1952, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Nick lived a life defined by hard work, love of family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Nick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine Duryea; his loving children, Carrie Ann Duryea Barrow (Michael), Kirk Duryea (Terry), and Amber Duryea; his cherished grandchildren, Jessi Barrow, Adam Barrow, and Tommy Barrow; and his sister, Gloria Dodd (Charlie).

A proud and dedicated provider for his family, Nick drove trucks for North American, APS Express, Bekins, Atlantic Van Lines, and Atlas Van Lines before retiring. Even after retirement, he continued to stay active, steaming crabs at the Angle Inn.

Nick loved fishing, crabbing, cheering for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially carefree Sunday afternoons with his son. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to caring for those he loved and for being the hardworking heart of his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12 pm - 4 pm, at Carrie Ann and Michael’s home. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor Nick’s memory. Please contact the family for the address if you plan to attend.
