Oliver Siffrin, Jr.

April 17, 1938 — April 29, 2022

Oliver Thomas Siffrin Jr., born on April 17th, 1938, passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Mae Siffrin. He was a longtime resident of Pasadena MD and moved 16 years ago Annapolis to be closer to his family. Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Siffrin and his wife Katherine, daughter Kathy Thompson and her husband Michael. He was a loving grandfather to his grandson Michael Thompson Jr. and his wife Melissa, and granddaughter Chelsea McCaffrey and her husband Timothy and grandson James Siffrin. He is also survived by his two great-granddaughters Charlotte Thompson and Kinsley McCaffrey. Tom was known by many as “The Train Man”.

Tom joined the Navy in 1957 and was on the USS-FISKE Destroyer. When he was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1959, he asked the love of his life, Loretta to be his wife. They were married on November 1st, 1959, and they were married for 59 years.

Tom worked as a salesman in the flooring industry for over 35 years. Tom was an avid hunter and loved spending time in the woods with his son. He was a member of the Wednesday night train club and helped every year to create the train display at Marly Station Mall. Tom always enjoyed running his trains for his grandchildren and neighbors. Tom enjoyed sitting outside eating crabs in the sunshine while watching the boats pass by at his daughter’s home.

Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated  McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Wednesday May 4, 2022, at 10am-12pm. A brief service will be held at noon. A luncheon to follow at Café’ Mezzanotte(760 Ritchie Highway,. Severna Park MD). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of The Chesapeake.
