Oscar Chavez

On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Oscar Armando Chávez Bailón passed away at the age of 80. He is survived by his children Óscar, Raúl, Giovana, Jaime and Héctor Falchetti, his 11 grandchildren, and his eight living siblings out of thirteen.

Oscar Chávez was born on November 11, 1938 in Cuzco, Peru to Alejandrina and Salomon Chávez. As a very well-known fisherman in the community of Lima, Peru, he came to the United States at the age of 38 to pursue a better quality of life for his family. Oscar loved cooking, teaching, and hard labor. He never failed to bring smiles and was very welcoming. Family and friends are invited to come to the family’s owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.

El martes 17 de Septiembre, 2019 falleció Oscar Armando Chávez Bailón, a la edad de 80 años.  Lo sobreviven sus hijos: Óscar, Raúl, Giovana, Jaime and Héctor Falchetti, sus 11 nietos y ocho de sus trece hermanos.

Oscar nació el 11 de Noviembre del año 1938, en Cuzco, Perú de Alejandrina y Salomón Chávez.  Fue un pescador muy conocido en la comunidad de Lima, Perú, y vino a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 38 años en busca de proveer una mejor calidad de vida a su familia. Oscar fue un hombre de muchos recursos incluyendo que le gustaba cocinar, enseñar, y trabajar arduamente. Nunca falló en poner una sonrisa en el rostro de muchos. Los familiares y amigos están invitados a venir a la Funeraria operada por la Familia McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122, el viernes 20 de Septiembre, 2019 de 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Allí mismo se llevará a cabo el servicio fúnebre el sábado 21 de Septiembre, 2019 a las 11:00 AM. El sepelio será en el Cementerio Cedar Hill.
