Pauline Moyer

On Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 Pauline Ann Moyer (nee Slotterback) passed away after a brief illness at Anne Arundel Medical Center.  She was 78 years old. Pauline will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend of 55 years Francis "Fritz" Moyer.
A native of Shamokin, PA, Pauline was the daughter of Bertha and Elwood Slotterback.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Joseph, George, and Ronald (Jeanette) Slotterback.
Pauline graduated from St. Edwards Catholic High School in Shamokin in 1958.  After graduation, she worked several years as a secretary for the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.  During this time, she met her best friend and the love of her life, Francis "Fritz" Moyer of Mt. Carmel, PA on a blind date arranged by friends. They were married  on December 1, 1962.  After their marriage,they were stationed in Tacoma, WA at McCord Air Force Base for 3 years, eventually settling in Pasadena, MD where Fritz began employment at United Airlines in January of 1966.  Pauline was employed by General Index as an office manager in Baltimore until 1973.
She will always be lovingly remembered by her nieces Michelle (Greg) Mahn and Susan (Nathan) Bradley and her nephews, Michael (Judy) Slotterback, Kenneth Slotterback, Stephen (Chris) Slotterback, and Martin (Laurie) Slotterback.  She adored her great nieces Kaitlin (Richy) Arthurs, Alexis Mahn, and Rachel and Grace Slotterback.  She also took pride in her great nephews, Brooks Slotterback, Jackson Slotterback, Luke Slotterback, Patrick Mahn, and Cole Bradley.
A celebration of Pauline's life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD.  The family will receive visitors from 2-4 pm and a Memorial Service will immediately follow the visitation.
