In Loving Memory of Phyllis Loraine Griffiths June 4, 1941 – July 26, 2025
Phyllis was born on June 4, 1941, in Essex County, Virginia — and peacefully passed away on July 26, 2025, in Gambrills, Maryland.
She was the beloved wife of 39 years to the late Raymond Griffiths and was deeply loved by her family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Goldie Samuel; her brothers, Ronnie Samuel and Donald Samuel; and her stepchildren, Raymond Griffiths and Lori Joran. She is survived by her sister, Sebelia Lilly, and her husband, Dolphus Lilly, her brother, Dennis Samuel Sr., her sons, Darren Carr, and wife Jennifer Carr and Daniel Griffiths Sr. and wife Tammie Griffiths, and her stepchildren, Angela Griffiths and Dennis Griffiths. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren who brought her endless joy and five great-grandchildren who were a true blessing
Phyllis dedicated over 30 years of her life working as a printing press inspector, where her commitment and attention to detail earned her numerous awards and recognition for her accomplishments and hard work. She loved playing bingo, shopping, indulging in sweet treats, watching her favorite soap operas and game shows and never missed a chance to root for the Orioles. She always took pride in her appearance, was always well put together, and carried herself with grace.
Phyllis will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle presence, and the love she gave to her family in her own special way.
May she rest in peace and be forever in our hearts. Her gentle spirit and loving heart will remain with us always.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, July 31, 2025, 3:00 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemtery.
