Regina "Pug" D. Scobee

September 27, 1951 — November 17, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Regina Darlene Scobee (Tallent), originally of Dayton, TN, and resident of Anne Arundel County, MD for over 35 years.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 34 years, Russell Wayne Scobee. She is the beloved mother of two children: her son, Charles Mason Guthrie III of Howard County, MD, and her daughter, Tyler Lynn Martinez of Wayne, MI. She is also survived by her sister, Paula Ruth Marthaler and her husband, John Marthaler of West Palm Beach, FL, as well as her cherished brother, Jerry Lynn King and his wife, Jan Cahill King of Levittown, PA. She is the treasured grandmother of Aidan Guthrie, Lola Martinez, and Mylo Martinez.

Regina had a transparently creative and fiery spirit. She enjoyed baking, although she did not do it often. She was a hair stylist for many years which served as an outlet for her overwhelming creativity. She was a bold and lively soul who feared absolutely nothing. She was notoriously clumsy. She was known by everyone for her affluence of fun ideas. She was the kind of person that you would always want by your side, especially in moments of conflict or competition. She was protective and compassionate. She loved with her whole heart. She was opinionated and comedic. In every fight or flight scenario, she chose fight.

She was a person. She was a mother and a grandmother. She was a wife and a sister, and a beloved aunt many times over. Her favorite color was green. She loved Hootie and the Blowfish (specifically Darius Rucker), Elton John, and Bruno Mars. She loved holidays, particularly Halloween. She exuded a kind of magnetism rarely seen in others. She marched to the beat of her own drum. She lived an eventful life, a life full of love, adventure, and good times. She would want you to live your life full of love, adventure, and good times just as she did.

In lieu of flowers at the time of her Celebration of Life , we ask that you consider organ donation. Following the passing of her eldest brother, Tommy Fred Tallent (Levittown, PA), his kidneys were able to save another family’s child for many years to come. She would ask you consider offering the same thing to another person in need. Alternatively, please consider monetary donations to Gift of Life.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon at which time a Memorial service will be held.
