Roger J Sander

Roger J. Sander, beloved father and grandfather passed away on July 26, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Barbara Sander (nee Elliott), brothers Ronald and Randolph, and parents Homer and Gladys Sander. Roger leaves his heartbroken family: daughter Christine and her husband Drew Roberts, and three grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle and Kaden, as well as his extended family and many friends.

Roger was a Pasadena resident for over 60 years before relocating to Delaware. He was a 1963 graduate of Glen Burnie High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army Special Forces. Roger worked for many years as a contractor to the Federal government. He was a member of the Special Forces Association, National Rifle Association, American Legion, Moose, and Ducks Unlimited. In his free time, he enjoyed scuba diving, snow skiing, golfing, and hunting.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Where funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial park Cemetery.

Roger was a supporter of numerous charities. Two that were close to his heart are RISE for Autism (https://riseforautism.org/) and The Special Forces Charitable Trust (https://www.specialforcescharitabletrust.org/). His family requests that you consider a donation in his memory in lieu of flowers.
