Ronald P. "Ron" Burr, Sr., 78, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in Annapolis, Maryland. A devoted family man and lifelong Episcopalian, Ron lived a life rooted in service, faith, and love.
Born on January 16, 1947, in Baltimore, Ron was the son of Oscar and Irma Burr. He grew up in Baltimore alongside his siblings and was active in the community of St. Paul's Episcopal Church during his formative years, and in the St. Paul’s Men’s Club for many years after that. His early connection to faith would remain a guiding force throughout his life.
In the 1970s, he became an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Pasadena, serving many roles over the decades. He contributed faithfully to the church community that became a spiritual home for him and his family until his passing.
Ron spent the majority of his working life in service to his country. He proudly served in the US Air Force and Air National Guard for 16 years. Later, he worked for the National Security Agency until he retired in 2002.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marge Burr; his parents Oscar and Irma Burr; his brother Wes Burr; and his sister Jeanie Spiker. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Rebecca Hogan and her husband James Hogan; his son Ronald P. Burr Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Gaskin-Burr; his sister Brenda Burr; his grandchildren Bradley Hogan and his wife Alexis Hogan, Shelby Hogan and her fiancé Daniel Brack, and Kaniah Gaskin-Burr and their fiancé Matt Wilhelm; and his great-grandson David Hogan.
Ron’s legacy as a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather lives on through those who knew him best. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 20, 2025, at 12:30 PM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church 7859 Tick Neck Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122.
