Ronald Chaney Dillon, Sr., 76, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away on June 30, 2025. Born on May 7, 1949, in Linthicum, Maryland, Ronald lived a life marked by dedication—to his family, his work, and his values.
Ronald began his lifelong career in Motorcoach Industry at Dillon's Bus Service in 1964. Where he was the owner along with his brothers, Keith Dillon, Sr and Brian Dillon, Sr. Over nearly five decades with the company, he became a steadfast figure in the motorcoach industry. In 2004 started Shore Motorcoach, where he stayed active until his passing. In 2010, he continued his commitment to safe and reliable travel by becoming the owner of Atlantic Coast Charters along with his son Ronald Dillon, Jr., where he remained active until his passing. His work ethic was unmatched; he believed deeply that credibility was everything and lived each day with that principle guiding him.
In addition to his professional life, Ronald served his community as a member of the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army while stationed in Korea.
Ronald’s greatest devotion was to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Dillon; daughter Michelle “Shelley” Mikeska and her husband Joe; granddaughters Lainie and Callie Mikeska; son Ronald Dillon, Jr. and his wife Melanie; grandchildren Ronald “Trey” Dillon III, Olivia Dillon, Cameron Dillon, and Aaron Dillon; great-granddaughter Eleanor “Ellie” Rios Dillon; son Kevin Dillon and his wife Donna; grandson Kevin Dillon Jr.; brothers Perry Dillon, Keith Dillon, and Brian Dillon; sisters Donna Phelan and Fay Fredericks. Along with all his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Perry Dillon.
A man of integrity and tireless effort, Ronald cherished time with those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the generations of family who carry forward the values he held dear.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake in Ronald’s memory.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM and from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 7:30 pm. Cremation services to follow.
