Roswitha Anne Tilghman passed away on March 11, 2020, at her home in Pasadena, Maryland. She was 81.
Born on August 31, 1938, near Schirgiswalde, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Gertrude Weidman. Roswitha, know by her family and close friends as “Anne,” grew up in Germany and traveled extensively throughout Europe in her early years as a student and young adult. She was employed for over thirty years at Giant Food. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, entertaining, and she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her son, Richard Tilghman (Tammy), and her daughter, Rebecca Davis (John); her grandchildren, Ashley Tilghman, Alexander Davis, Daisy Tilghman, and Molly Davis. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Jack Tilghman.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Chesapeake for their love and care of Anne during the final phase of her earthly life.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Francis Catholic Church in Pasadena with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Human Society of Maryland or St. Jane Francis Catholic Church. Graveside services are private.
