Shirley A. Pumphrey, a beloved homemaker, suddenly departed from this world on July 30, 2024, at her residence. She was a cherished high school graduate, born on August 25, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Shirley's sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of many who knew her. She is survived by her loving son William Fitzgibbons and his companion Carol D'antoni; as well as granddaughter Erica D'antoni. In the wake of her departure, they find solace in the beautiful memories and the lasting impact she had on their lives.
In eternal rest, Shirley joins her husbands Michael Fitzgibbons and James Pumphrey, Sr., along with her father Frederick Meyers, mother Cleta Meyers, brothers Kenneth and Welford Meyers, and sister Gloria Robertson. Their spirits intertwine in the realm beyond as they watch over those who continue to cherish their legacy.
A woman of remarkable grace and kindness, Shirley's presence brought warmth and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her dedication to her family and unwavering love will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The viewing services to honor Shirley's life will be held at McCully Polyniak and Collins Funeral Home in Pasadena on August 5, 2024 3-5 PM and then again at 7-9 PM. A final tribute through a Funeral Service will take place at the same location on August 6th at 10:00 AM followed by Interment at GLEN HAVEN MEMORIAL PARK in Glen Burnie at 11:00 AM.
As we bid farewell to Shirley A. Pumphrey in this realm, let us celebrate her life well-lived and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit continue to live on through the memories she created and the love she so generously bestowed upon us all.
