He is survived by his wife Nicole, mother Carmen, aunt and God parents Ana and Luchy Guzman, his aunts/uncles Marianela, Elena (Santiago), Ramona (Mark), Rosita (Ruben), Nancy (Jose), and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Steven was a Retail Manager at the Severna Park PETCO for the last 12 years, where he got to do what he loved: care for animals. Prior to that he worked for Macy’s (Marley Station) as a Sales Associate.
Steven grew up in Pasadena and attended St. Jane Frances School from Kindergarten through the eighth grade. He was a graduate of Northeast High School. He also studied HVAC technology at Anne Arundel Community College.
He was a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scouts of America. He earned the Eagle Scout rank as a member of Scout Troup 870 in Pasadena. His Eagle project was building an observation/classroom deck for Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. He started his scout journey as a Cub Scout in Troop 773, where he received the Order of the Arrow, Cub Scout’s highest award.
Steve-O, as he was affectionately called by his friends, was an avid reader. He loved adventure books, Anime, Manga and sci-fi. He was a die-hard fan of Pokémon, Star Wars and the Cincinnati Bengals. Steven was a hobbyist and a collector; an avid and accomplished magic devotee.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carmen and Mariano, and his “Memom” Diane Brown.
Steve was a lover of animals and the family requests that, in leu of flowers, donations in Steven’s memory be made to either:
